Biography
Serena Rossi was born on March 6, 1972 in Milan, where she lives and works. In 1999 she graduated in pharmacy. She trained in visual arts with various courses including engraving at the Pomodoro Foundation in Milan in 2010. In 2013 Serena worked on the Site Specific project alongside Silvia Petronici in Bologna. In 2014 she completed the Manual for Artists workshop created by Ivan Quaroni at Circoloquadro in Milan. In 2016 she then completed the Mono-type course with Leo Ragno at the Foundation Federica Galli in Milan and illustration with Javier Pabala in Lonato at the Duina art space.
Since 2002 she has participated in a solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Some of her works are part of a private and public collection located in the open-air museum of Camo and in Gravina di Puglia.i
During 2012 she received several awards for her poems and published in several anthologies and in the contemporary poetry series by Elio Pecora. In 2013 she published her first book of poetry titled “In becoming calm of the infinite” and. Caosfera. In 2016 she published the second collection as an e-book titled “I asked the sea to cry” and “Five poems” ed. In 2017 Serena published a limited edition ilrobotadorabile, in 2017 “There are not only heroes” ed. NullaDie and “Lamine” ed. limited ilrobotadorabile, in 2018 publishes “We are not” ed. NullaDie, in 2019 “Five poems” ed. limited ilrobotadorabile, in 2020 the collection “Red poppies design” ed. NullaDie and the plaquettes “Lockdown” ed. ilrobotadorabile. In 2021 she published as curator and one of the seven authors “Voices from confinement” ed. NullaDie and “None serve la paura” ed. NullaDie, and she is featured in Dr. Kousik Sastri’s English-language Ebook “And Magazine”.
With her books, Serena has obtained various merit awards and rankings in national and international literary competitions.
